Common sense of PVC foam board processing

The processability of PVC foam board is the same as that of wood. There is something to pay attention to during hollow cutting of foam board, because the spacing of hollow is 23 mm. 1.  Engraving machine can be used for molding according to the design drawing, and then the surface should be pasted with laminate board or baking paint. However, it should be noted that if the surface of hollow foam board is uneven, it can only be vacuum coated, and the material shall be 2mm PVC board.

 

2.  Bending molding is only applicable to solid foam board, hollow foam board is not applicable. The processing method is to use the upper and lower molds, cover the surface of the wood mold with aluminum plate, heat the solid foam plate to the plasticizing temperature of 70 ~ 90 ¡æ, and directly press the shape with the upper and lower molds, and the surface of the foam plate will not change.

 

3.  During the production of self-adhesive PVC, the surface can be provided with wood grain printing with different lines according to the demand, which can save unnecessary processing procedures.

 

4.  The surface of PVC foam board can be treated by baking paint, and the general category can be divided into general baking paint, piano baking paint and ceramic baking paint according to different processing methods. Anti UV components will be added during piano paint baking to avoid surface color changes. In terms of surface hardness, ceramic baking paint is superior, which has the advantage of scratch resistant.

 

5.  Then there is the common processing method. The surface is pasted with crystal board (generally single-sided colored acrylic board), laminate board and laminate paper. In the edge sealing part, the general processing is mainly automatic edge sealing machine, and the automatic edge sealing machine is divided into roller type and crawler type. However, when using hollow foam board, it is recommended to use crawler edge sealing machine. It is less likely to cause uneven surface after edge sealing, and the adjustment of pressure is also very important. The color of the foam board is also recommended to be similar to that of the surface coating material, so as to avoid obvious color difference when shrinkage occurs after being pasted on laminate paper.

 

6.  Drilling can be directly processed by NC machine. It can reduce the density and increase the air content of the foam board itself according to the needs of the use, so as to improve the heat insulation and sound insulation effect and reduce the cost. For example, the weight of 15 mm foam board is the same as that of 10 mm foam board with the same volume. At present, some manufacturers have applied foam board to table top forming or large-scale machine cover by vacuum forming, but there is a disadvantage in table top forming, which is that the surface wear resistance is not good and easy to wear.
