On August 5, 2025, Mr. Louis Lu, General Manager of Wuxi Boyu Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd., walked into the Wuxi Intermediate People’s Court and the Wuxi High-Tech District People’s Court, holding a silk banner and personally delivering it to the presiding judges to express his gratitude to both courts.

Mr. Lu said gratefully, ‌“We were very anxious when we filed the lawsuit, as foreign friends often say that we Chinese don’t know how to protect innovation. Unexpectedly, the Wuxi Intermediate People’s Court and the Wuxi High-Tech District People’s Court completely dispelled our concerns. The judges handled the case diligently and responsibly, upholding our legitimate rights. We felt the fairness of the judiciary and that the courts are ‘people’s courts’! We came here to express our gratitude. Thank you so much!”

Judge Zheng of Wuxi Intermediate People’s Court said, ‌“Thank you for your support and recognition of our work. This silk banner is not just praise and an honor, but also a sense of mission and responsibility. As judges, we will strive to ensure that the people feel fairness and justice in every judicial case.”

Background:

Recently, the unfair competition dispute between Wuxi Boyu Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ‌“Boyu company‌”) and Jiangsu Kingshine Plastic Machine Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ‌“Kingshine company‌”) came to the end. The effective judgment document held that Kingshine company had previously posted Boyu company’s promotional videos on its YouTube website, which constituted unfair competition. Therefore, the court ordered Kingshine company to immediately cease the unfair competition behavior involved, compensate Boyu company for its economic losses and reasonable expenses incurred in stopping the infringement, and publish an announcement in the ‌“People’s Court Daily‌” to eliminate the impact. Currently, Kingshine company has complied with the judgment requirements by compensating the corresponding losses and publishing an apology accordingly.
